Good, your files are not lost - they are on the machine

    Search again
    Change View to show details
    Right click any column heading
press More.. at he bottom of the list
Scroll down to and select File Path
Sort the search results by File Path (left click the column heading)

Is the Folder Path C:\Windows.old for your files?
There will be files in the search results that are in Windows, Program Files, etc.
You are only interested in finding where your files are located.
Figuring out what folder or folders the files are in will determine what to do next.

    Good news

I found the location of the files.
    C:\Users\a3zyz

Now how do I use my computer as I've used it in the past?
    With science
I always enter through the a3zyyz account
    No account on the computer

Why not show files like before?

That is NOT the same account, or your file folder would match it with the extra letters in the account name form the screenshot.

    do you mean
    al3z?
    This is the second name
The second name is not associated with the account name
First name is only dependent upon Windows

    Navigate to C:\Users\a3zyz
You said the files were found there, but you weren't specific.
Are the files in the Documents, Pictures, Music, and Video folders
you don't see the files when you click on the named folders in File Explorer: Quick Access or Navigation Pane link?

Are you using a Microsoft Account or a Local Account to sign-in to Windows?

    Thank you.

Compare the property page of the Documents shortcut on Quick Access to the Documents folder in C:\Users\a3zyz

    Post screenshots
