Problem with windows truncated in the lower part

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum, I'm desperatly searching a way to fix a problem I have since when I installed windows 10.

I have an old delphi app, that is working perfectly, the only thing is that every time it opens a window the lower part of the new window is truncated, so I cannot see the border and part of the bottons present in the application.
If I maximize and then minimize the window everything is perfect, it just happen when it open the first time.

I don't think is correlated directly with windows 10 since in one of the three computer I don't have the problem, but on the other two (one laptop and one notebook), but this issue never happend on windows 8,1 or windows 7.

    Hope somebody has suggestions

    my best

    Hello there.

A suggestion. Have you tried looking at and changing the compatibility mode (right click on the executable, choose properties then the compatibility tab)?

    Regards.

I have the same issue with a few pgms, even MS pgms.

    Some things to try:

    1) open the pgm, grab the left or right side of the window and drag it left or right (resizing with drag)
Then close the pgm and open it again.
That works for most pgms on my machine

    2) Snap the pgm to the left or right
Then close the pgm and open it again.
It should open to the snap location and size
Then grab the title bar and drag it to unsnap
resize and position to your liking
    Then close the application.

Sometimes it takes a few tries using different resizing positioning techniques.

Only PowerShell defies every attempt I make to get it to stick to the size I want.
The last position and size is saved for all Windows on close ... I think.

    Hi,

thanks for the suggestion but I have tried sort of both.

The compatibility mode won't change anything, I've tried with windows xp, windows 7 etc..

The resizing suggestion don't work either because the windows have a fixed size, can only be minimized to the task bar.

    I'm waiting for other ideas

    thanks
