USOclient.exe randomly popped up on computer recently upgraded from 7

I am new to Windows 10. Just a week or two ago, I upgraded my laptop from 7 to 10. Yesterday, I started up my laptop and started logging in here, and randomly a black usoclient.exe windows popped up then went away. I am not sure what this was. After the fact, I opened the Windows Update thing in Settings, and I noticed that Windows was looking for updates around that time, but later on I had cases where Windows was looking for updates in the background, but the USOclient window did not popup.

Kaspersky and MBAM say USOclient.exe is clean

Does anyone know what that was?

    Hello leftisthominid,

Yes, the process is started by windows 10 task scheduler and is found under the Windows tasks as Update Orchestrator. It is designed to trigger a Windows update scan. It may have popped up because your laptop was just lagging behind and had slowed down, normally you never see the pop-up. I would not worry about it unless it keeps on happening.
