    Incorrect Quick Access view issue

I have a strange problem with Quick Access view:
all of a sudden files are displayed as in every other folder in a single list, and I can't select By group etc. to restore original mixed view:

    Correct:
I have a strange problem with Quick Access view-650x480xrecent-items-frequent-places-quick-access-650x480.png.pagespeed.gp-jp-jw-pj-js-rj.png

    Broken:

I tried to reset settings from Folders Options but nothing changed

    EDIT:
Other users here with the same issue: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...484e735?page=1
but the given answer about deleting Shell\Bags\ numbers containing {24CCB8A6-C45A-477D-B940-3382B9225668} is ineffective

Looks like the Quick Access logical "object" is unknown to Windows: typing its name "Accesso rapido" this gets searched on the Net instead of opening Quick Access folder! Not sure if this is normal behavior

    Fixed!

    I did in this sequence:
    1. export as AllFolders.reg
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders
    2. deleted whole
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags
    3. merged back in the registry the AllFolders.reg backup

    EDIT:
    Quick convenient script (Admin required):
    Code:
    rem @Echo Off
rem Restore messed up folders content by Hexaae, admin privileges required

    regedit /e %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\AllFolders.reg "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders"
    reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags" /f
    reg import %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\AllFolders.reg

    del /Q %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\AllFolders.reg

    FINAL SOLUTION

Since this annoying bug seems to reappear from time to time on Windows 10 (1909, 2004+), I've just found a better and PERMANENT easier solution for this annoying issue.
When you see something terribly wrong in Quick access view, to reset to default view (upper pane: Frequent folders, lower pane: Recent files as shown in the first post) follow these steps...

Close all other open folders and keep open only broken Quick access view folder

    1. right click on Quick access on the left column and select Options

    2. View tab, select first Reset Folders (1) and then Apply to Folders (2)

Reset Folder View Settings to Default in Windows 10

Apply Folder View to All Folders of Same Type in Windows 10

    3. Highly recommended this additional step to increase folders cache (I suggest "BagMRU Size"=dword:00004e20):
How to Increase Folder View Settings Cache Memory Size in Windows - Windows 10 Forums (tenforums.com)

    This should fix it permanently.
    Enjoy!

    P.S.
This same procedure works fine also with broken user Home folder (named after your account name) often forgetting its view settings. Please notice that Reset Folders (1) alone didn't permanently fix the issue.
