Bing Search changes - how to remove lightbulb!

Within the last week or so using Bing Search in Edge on Win 10 some of the list of results is now including a completely unnecessary Lightbulb icon and a popup frame. This is extremely irritating! If I let my cursor wander, I get this willynilly!

How do I stop this? I can't find anything in Settings that gives such an option

I don't think it can be disabled. Isn't it easy to avoid, or click twice to close?

I suggest you use Chrome instead of Edge, and Google instead of Bing.

I never use Chrome because of all the rubbish it adds to websites, and ditto for Google. Nowadays pages are so cluttered up with junk it is a pain trying to avoid it all

I don't see any rubbish added by Chrome. Nor by Google.
And there are no lightbulbs either. :)

Chrome does not add anything to websites. As for google, there are add-ins that will stop the ad's, same as just using duckduck .go as your search engine.

There is no way to turn off Bing Page Insights https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...7-eb0bc1103e35
Google and Google Chrome do not add rubbish or anything to a web page that a web page author didn't put there in the first place.

Q: How many forum regulars does it take to remove a light bulb?

So far the lightbulbs are winning hands down! Regulars score a resounding zero.
