Yup,, instillation execs. I store them on the HDD and I can quickly install all of the software I use in about 2 hours.. tops.
You could just make a ps1 script like this and add what you want...
    Code:
    Get-Packageprovider Chocolatey
    Install-Package `
    emet, `
    skype, `
    7zip, `
    AdobeReader, `
    notepadplusplus, `
    virtualbox, `
    treesizefree, `
    ccleaner, `
    speccy, `
    google-chrome-x64 `
    -force -verbose
Read-Host -Prompt "Finished!! Press Enter to exit"
Run it as admin and off you go - it will just install the latest version for you (unless you specify a different version). No need to maintain your own repository and no clicks on installers or toolbar opt-out boxes required.

OK. You said it took you 2 hours. I wouldn't want to spend 2 hours clicking on install.exe's, clicking on "I accept terms and conditions" and then declining the Ask toolbar when Java or ccleaner comes along. Certainly not every couple of weeks on every new install.

Up to you of course. Personally I'd rather vacuum my appartement than go through that.

EDIT: So would my wife apparently...

I don't have that much to install to be honest.. and I spread out the process over 2 days.. so it's not that much of a deal for me at lest.

It is only my opinion but I believe that no Preview Release OS should be used as your every day OS to do banking and such on.

MS is getting some information from the build but I don't really think that I risk anything with them doing that. I worry more about hackers getting my information far more that MS.

A system reset always goes back to the out-of-the-box OS. You can avoid that with a refresh provided you activated you own custom refresh images.

You are welcome to your opinion of course. I paid off my credit card bill using Spartan today by signing on to my local bank and transferring the required balance to Bank of America. Worked fine for me. Better than tenforums in fact (it didn't crash once) but it is a simpler site.

I'm not sure what you think the problem would be. MS accidentally forwarding my bank account numbers to someone or something? SSL not working? Lots of people here say "I wouldn't use a preview for banking" but why not? In what possible technical sense is an RTM safer?

I would not use any Windows for banking. Only Linux with a good firewall.
