Try right clicking the tile, select "More", then select "Open file location".
This will bring you to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs where all the pinned program shortcuts are stored.
    Select Opera, and delete it.

Then go find Opera's .exe file in Program files if it's 64bit or Program files(x86) if it's 32bit.
Right click the .exe file and select pin to start.
It may take a couple of tries to get it to pin, or even a reboot first.

Then see if you have the correct looking tile.
    tile was still messed up

I ask because I usually create my own tiles for 3rd party apps, and the above is how you refresh the tile icon. But it will also look the same after in all apps menu.

Will the icon there be the same as the one seen in file explorer? If so. Then the app has the proper icon.
I can check to make sure in about an hour

If you would like to use one of these for your start menu tile, let me know. I will need the exact spelling and capitalization of the .exe file. For example for Macrium Reflect it's "reflect"(without quotes).

    Start menu White box tile-opera_256.png
    Start menu White box tile-opera.png
    Start menu White box tile-browser-opera_1.png
You will get a tile pack with the png icon renamed and a manifest.xml file, you need to place in the folder with the .exe file. Then delete the shortcut and tile like I told you earlier, then you just right click the .exe and pin to start. Remember it is important to delete the icon in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs first.

Wait, wouldnt it be possible to use the default tile icon with your method as a temporary fix?

I would need a 256 x 256 copy of the .png. I don't know what the actual icon looks like though. If you find it on google or bing images and post it here, I'll make the tile pack.

When you search use these parameters: Opera png 256 x 256 transparent

I need to go to bed now though, it's 10:50pm here, and I have to go to work tomorrow. So it'll be a bit, till I get back to you.
