Hi, hope I am posting this to the right forum section.
I have this JAR file downloaded and of course, it needs Java in order to open it.
In Windows 10, is there any way to find out if I have Java installed?
Or, can Windows 10 open up JAR files natively?
If not, then how can I know if I have Java installed on Windows 10?
In Windows 7, it was easier to know.

I would say look in folder c:\program files or c:\program files (x86); if you find an folder Java\jre xxx\bin with java.exe in it you have Java installed.
I had this exact same problem. A few web searches produced a program that re-associates .jar with Java Runtime. If you are certain that it is installed try this program:

This worked for me and I hope it works for you!
It's even easier than that to check for Jave: Open control panel - has an entry if installed.
From it's CP you can update and after that it should associate.
Windows cannot natively open jar files.
