What is USER_ESRV_SVC_WILLAMETTE?
Just noticed this on Scheduled tasks. It's in the folder C:\Program Files\Intel\SUR\WILLAMETTE\ESRV
Is it safe? Bitdefender and Malvarebytes AM gives me no warning, also if I do a custom scan.

It is Intel® Energy Checker.
It is safe, apparently. But if it auto starts with windows, feel free to disable it in startup.
This is apparently the "Intel Energy Checker". It was apparently produced by Willamette which is now part of Intel. (People living in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA may be surprised to learn they are owned by Intel.) I have not seen a description of the product. I would guess it's Intel bloatware, but I don't know for sure. Have you tried killing it to see what happens?
Intel Energy Checker SDK: your MD simulation uses how many watts? - insideHPC
It is not necessary to run windows. So if it comes preinstalled, it is just a factory bloatware.
Hey guys apparently this service installs with Intel driver update utility. It needs to be removed ASAP IMHO because for me it was keeping the processor from entering the c states and thus using around 15 watts more then needed. I have been tracking this down for the last few days and found this. I was almost going to reinstall windows but now I don't have to!
