My Windows 10 Start Menu is the buggiest thing I have ever seen

I just got this awesome new Acer laptop with Windows 10 Pre-Installed on it. Everything is fine except for my start menu and some legacy Windows 10 apps.

My start menu greys out everything on it when i move my cursor into it (See attached image for clarification). I have tried resetting the PC (keeping my files (no external hard drive)) to system checkups by all antiviruses out there all to no avail. It is so annoying and sometimes the effect makes me nauseous and sick to my stomach . Can anybody help me out here?

As regards the buggy legacy Windows 10 apps, Microsoft Edge has extremely blurry text when browsing and viewing PDF files with it. It is extremely annoying and the only workaround is by selecting the text as if I want to copy it which makes it normal for like 10 seconds before it goes blurry again. (I now use FireFox). I have tried tuning the text with ClearType all to no avail too.

My Windows 10 is activated with all the drivers updated. Please someone help me as I'm about to go crazy . Note that the issue with the start menu also happens when selecting WiFi networks.

Go to Settings > Personalization > Background, and see what Background is set too. If it's set to Color try one of the other options.
There is a Reader App in the Store you can use instead of reading PDF's in Edge. Just open the Store and type Reader in the search box. Download and install it, then set it as your default App for PDF files.

Have you tried the Reading View at top right hand next to the star button
That also brings it up clearer if you are having trouble

I have tried all the colors available but with the same result. I have PhantomFoxit PDF reader so Edge isn't really that big a deal. Is there nothing else I can do?

Yup. Tried it all. Although I'd prefer if the start menu problem was solved first.

Are you logged in with a Microsoft ID or local account? I'm not sure it matters but i'll ask anyway. My guess its your theme or the colors your using?

Just a suggestion: Have you run, "Free Up Disc Space," and after that "Defragment" the hard drive? It might make things run smoother by cleaning up files and compacting the HD?? Be patient, as it will take a while doing it the first time.

Yes sir. Done that. Seems I need to completely reinstall Windows to get rid of this problem huh?

Haven't you done that already? I would re download a new image via the MCT, and use a different thumb drive to reinstall this time around. Just to make sure you didn't get a corrupted image, and or don't have a faulty thumb drive. Are you booting from your install media and doing a true clean install?

Was really hoping it wouldn't come to that. Don't have the means necessary right now to do all that so I'll continue looking for alternatives.
    Thanks for your help.
