Problems with Music Files in W10, using Windows Media Player

For some (not all) of my music files that I use in Windows Media player, I'm getting this message:

"The license cannot be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.

To download a license, you must install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.

To install the latest version of Internet Explorer, see the Windows Update page."

I don't use Internet Explorer, so why do I need the latest version? I can't discern a reason why IE 7+ is tied to music licenses. This only happened when I started using Windows 10.

    Thanks
    Carl

Microsoft Edge is not supported on downloading licenses or any other browser.

For this to work, you must set Windows Internet Explorer 11 as your default browser.

It should work after that. After setting IE11 as default, restart the system, and it should work.

After the licenses are downloaded, and your music files play, change your default back to your preferred browser

This works, but now I have the problem of easily identifying the albums that have the license problem. Is there any way to do that?

    Hmm I'm unsure about that.

Guess I'll worry about it when I come to some.
