    Cascading menus in Start menu

Anyone know if I can get back cascading menu in Start menu - so I can access my folders and Word files.

I really miss this from Win7.

The search isn't good with Win10.

I'd prefer to glide to a file from Start Menu, via the Documents folder, instead of having to use a Toolbar cascading link - I know this works, but its a lot more fiddly.

    Thanks

You can't add cascading menus in the Start Menu, but, you could enable Jump Lists:

So far, on only 1 Win10 computer I use [out of 3, but the only one Upgraded from Win8.1] having the Classic Shell installed gets most of the Win7 features back. I never tried other programs that work similarly.

You can try to get used to new Start menu - it is not that bad! Or you can use third party software like Classic Shell.

Edit: Berton beats me by second :) just follow his link!

Thanks for the tip, but I don't think Jump List has cascading menus - have to do old fashioned click click click.

    Thanks

...Or, you could enable 'Desktop' Toolbar:

I admit it was nice, but ...

All apps, hitting a letter and going to the lettered group, or ...

Cortana symbol and typing out an app name and getting that in the search at top really makes me not miss the old start menu cascade list at all.

    To each our own ...

You'll have to try a 3rd party Start Menu.

Classic Shell, StartIsBack, Start10, to name a few.
