currently on different computer with friends account. On my computer i upgraded to Win 10. It assigned a different user ID and some password i have no idea what that password is I tried to reinstall Win 10 on my Laptop from an ISO on DVD its two hours starting to restart after rebooting and choosing repair. Cannot even turn off laptop from ON/OFF button have full backup on removable disk how do i get back to Win 7?
I'm not sure what is going on, but a password isn't assigned unless you choose to assign one...and it assigns what you choose. Are you saying you typed in a password but don't remember what you picked?
Do you have anything on the laptop that needs to be saved, like data? If not, I'd follow the tutorial here to do a clean install of Windows 10.

you may be able to use the bottom option (Roll back)
What sort of backup disk do you have?
Simple copies are very basic. Is it a disk image?
Disk imaging is a great way to give yourself the chance to restore your PC to an exact previously working state in a short time without technical help. E.g. Macrium reflect (free) + its boot disk + external backup storage medium.
