I've used the shortcut since Windows 7. It's saved in my Desktop folder on my data drive. I just have to right click and pin it. Old habits.

Use this method.
I just tried it to confirm that it works............................
Right click at desktop > New > Shortcut > in the box, copy/paste this.................
%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0
> click Next > click Finish.
You now have a desktop shortcut for Shut down.
You can pin it to taskbar or to Start by right clicking at the shortcut.
If you want to change the ICON, click change icon and navigate to %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll. The RED icon is in there.
I knew there was a tutorial on this somewhere, http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...ndows-8-a.html Works on Windows 10 too.
Or just download the shortcut from my OneDrive folder. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...t=folder%2clnk

GREAT!... that works just fine for a quick Shut Down. But, when I went to turn on the PC, it taken about 4 minutes to get on the internet. Tried that several time...Start Up), same lingering time to get on. Before, all this I could press start button on PC and the Windows 10 logo would pop up within three seconds, and I'm on the internet in about 5 seconds. So, I deleted the quick Shutdown on the desktop, and went back to the original way Windows 10 had it when I installed 10. Now, I'm back to normal "real fast stsrtup, and three clicks to shutdown. I'm staying the old way... Thanks to all for the info...help.
