Taskbar moving slightly out of bounds

    Hi all,

I have just recently picked up a new Asus ultrabook which came pre-installed with Windows 10. Overall I am very content, however there is a minor bug I have run into. What happens is that my taskbar randomly moves a few centimetres to the right, which is kind of annoying. Because of this I am unable to correctly check the time, nor use the tiny button next to the time and date to return to my wallpaper. I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like. I am hoping that one of you has a solution for me!

EDIT: BTW, I do know how to temporarily fix it. This can be done by unlocking the taskbar, sliding it up and down back to its original position. I am now looking for a permanent fix, since this happens to me on a daily basis! Thanks in advance!

    Kinds regards,

    Mr. Rovers

The display resolution is set to 1920x1080, which is the standard resolution for my laptop.

Then the screen is acting like it is over scanning. Does this have an Nvidia video card? If so you may need to upgrade the video driver.

Wow, didn't imagine it could be something that simple as a driver. I kind of expected the drivers to be up to date, apparently they weren't. Doesn't windows 10 automatically update your drivers?

I believe this has solved my issues, thanks a lot!

    Did the driver revert back?

With a new comp you shouldn't have to go through this nonsense - sad, indeed.

Try checking scaling to see if set to recommended here

Other thoughts are monitor settings, but being a laptop not sure where to look for those settings for you.
