Was there an OS already on the PC you installed Windows 10? Does it have a COA sticker on it for another version of Windows?

That's not how it works anymore, you'll still be force upgraded to 10 if you run 7.

That's not true, you can refuse the free upgrade if you want.

I think, as a paying customer, you should be questioning AutoDesk as to why their software isn't compatible yet. They've had plenty of time to do so.

On that note, have you tried installing the software on Windows 10? Are you sure it doesn't work?

The upgrade from WIndows 7 to Windows 10 is free. If you upgrade Windows 10 doesn't use a key per say but uses a hash number that is stores on Microsoft's servers. This hash number is created based on you hardware configuration. If you purchase Windows 10 it comes with a key that is unique to WIndows 10. No had you purchased WIndows 7 instead of WIndows 10 you could upgrade to Windows 10 if Autodesk was made compatible with Windows 10.

I found this when I did a search on Autodesk and WIndows 10

Autodesk releases new AutoCAD 360 UWP app for Windows 10 - MSPoweruser

Yes, you get a digital entitlement with the free upgrade. You can go back to the original OS, if you did the free upgrade. That's why I asked if there was another OS on that PC before Windows 10 was installed? I'm wondering why he bought 10 instead of just doing the free upgrade. If it was a desktop PC that didn't have any OS on it, it makes sense. You would have to buy 10.

It's a new laptop. No, there's no Windows OS attached on it, because I preferred to buy separetly.

gladly, my old pc was not in windows X. I'm still using windows 7 and refuse windows X for this pc.

I'm sure it doesn't work. I've tried. and when I search in the forum, they all said the same thing, this particular autodesk doesn't support windows X. So, in the mean time, I will not questioning them for an old product of them that I have bought.

AC360 requaire a new/latest autodesk to sign in (if I'm not being misinterpretation) and I don't have it. I have to stick in my old AC. Money Issue :)
