Interesting note in the update for new Insider Version that it fixes a bug so that things pasted to desktop will now appear automatically instead of having to refresh screen. Sounds a lot like this issue. I will test it.

That is interesting news cereberus!! Let us know what you find. But even if its fixed, it will be while for non-insiders to get this fix I would suppose?? Thanks for this news thou. :)

Well, I cannot reproduce issue even with 10586. I select to save the capture.png to desktop and it just appears as it should do.

So obviously not a general bug.

No idea why it does not work for OP.

Well must be, or MS wouldn't include it in the latest insider build.....funny I never tried it on mine, cause I don't like that way. I suppose I could try it once. :)

Update: Just tried saving to my desktop, didn't show, until I hit refresh F5 key. :)

For me it's random. Most of the time I don't have any problem when saving a pic to the desktop.

You should have taken bet - you would have won!

It works fine but I cannot really say if the bug has been fixed as I never had it in first place.

I always save snipits to my desktop ,because I'm usually only taking the snipit to post to this forum ,and then I delete them ,,and I don't have an issue with having to refresh desktop on any of my win10 computers
when I first started reading this thread I was thinking there was some confusion between snipits and screenshots in some of the suggestions .,,because screenshots are defaulted to the picture folder !

Yes that's were mine always go, because I don't change them to my desktop. Just incase you didn't know, you can just use your F5 key to refresh the desktop, its quicker. :)
