Actually, through my unscientific observations, it seems to be running about 50/50 on these forums.

In another private forum that includes betas, a poll shows it's running a bit more than 50% wanting the charms bar back. The rest of those answering the poll are split with only about 38% saying they don't want it back.

    Edit:

Latest check sees 44% want it; 44% don't want it and 11% could care less.

The only thing I didn't like about the charms bar was that it kept popping up when I didn't want it.

Yeah, I could have lived with it if it didn't keep doing that . . . and making me fish when I wanted it.

It was like it had a mind of it's own.

What would be really a big help is if the apps on the apps page (w8.1 style) were ALL in alphabetical order. What do I care that Wordpad is in Acceories and Command Prompt is under System. I want Wordpad under "W" and Command Prompt under "C".

    hi guys,

well if only 5% of the users want the Charms Bar back, then they (MS) or someone should offer this.

I really do NOT understand how the Charms Bar was/is ennoying. I never had problems with it as mentionned by some here on the board.

I remember in the beginning that i was almost the only one that liked the Start as know since the first beta (or whatever release came out first).

Now more and more people like the Start aside the desktop, so it is more of getting used to it then anything else.

Right now not so many people complain that Win10 is not good and that they want Win 7 back. (if not already installed).

MS will get it right and soon it is "bye bye" Win 7 and yes Win 10 is THAT good.

    That was my experience too.
It only appeared when it was not wanted.

The only reliable way to control the thing was to use the keyboard shortcut (desktop).
God only knows how people are able to control it on a W8 series tablet.

    Hi there

I'm confused -- should it be COULDN'T care less -- means people don't care or COULD CARE which means they DO care.

Any Native English speakers here -- help please on this expression.

    Cheers

The reason why people are saying "bring win7 back" is just becuase they haven't tried 10 yet, if 7 users actually respected peoples opinions and gave better ways of improving win10 other than just "BRING WINDOWS 7 BACK COS ITS THE BEST!" Then things wouldn't be at the edge with the current market share.

Yes, Jim, you're right, but over the years, it's been shortened to "could". Although I've questioned that through the years, we're not going to change it now. Both "I couldn't care less" and "I could care less" have come to mean the same thing; "I just don't care one way or the other."

Ain't the English language the greatest? :)
