Those are the dates for the First release of Windows 10, new dates will be announced for later updates.

Windows 10 is going to continue to be updated/upgraded. Those dates will probably change as Windows 10 progresses. I think in time the name will change to something else.
Microsoft has made it quite clear that Windows 10 is "the last Windows version". It will be upgraded as build upgrades which in some cases have already shown that a new build is basically a new Windows version, but the marketing name will stay until they drop the "10" from it and start using plain "Windows", which I very strongly believe will happen.

Will future upgrades continue to be free? Only time will tell.
Again something MS has made quite clear: Any installed and activated Windows 10 will be upgraded to new builds and remain activated the lifetime of the device. This does not only apply the so called Insiders who have opted in for build upgrades before their public release, but also all users who install and activate Windows 10 or buy a PC with pre-installed Windows 10 opting out from the Insider build upgrades.

It is conceivable though that MS could follow model of other software vendors where the base package is free but you pay extra for premium addons. Pure speculation of course.

Ah,, no. MS has clearly stated that this would not be occurring.

Now.. this is something to think/chew on..

What if when RS1 comes out later on this year MS decides to name it 10.1?? Give that RS1 will be a major upgrade to the base OS it might
make sense.. and when RS2 comes out at the end of the year or early next year that will become 10.2??

Ah, right and that of course means they won't do it. Sure.

That sounds nice, but I wonder what significant changes would be there...

I thought this over and I don't know for certain but 10.1 may be the name for the final RS1 build. If it does have major changes/updates it might make
sense to change the entire number from 10 to 10.1.

    Speculating.. but heck. ITs' fun.

It would not be smart for them to charge for any 10 updates/upgrades. That would undermine the entire
    point of the free upgrade.
