If you go to my PC
    Then scroll to Document folder
Right Click you have 3 choices
    One Pin To Start
    Or Pin Quick Access
    Or Right Click
    Scroll to Send To
    Then click Desktop
All Three does work as I have both my
Documents and Pictures done that way

    Suuper,

The only thing I can suggest is to turn on "Show all folders" in the navigation pane, and open your Documents folder under your user folder in the navigation pane.

This link looked like it might be what I want: This PC 'Folders' - Add or Remove in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Unfortunately, it only hides the links. Using a shortcut to one of the folders still takes me to Thic PC -> [folder]

I found a way to get what I wanted, though. Through a combination of re-naming Documents, creating new folders, deleting Documents and re-naming the new folder to "Documents" I eventually got it. I'm not sure of the exact steps, but I had to delete "Documents" more than once to get it working.

    New question for this topic:

What if I've moved where Documents is located (right-click > Properties > Location tab)?

Let's say I moved them to "D:\Documents". When I type %UserProfile%\Documents in to Windows Explorer I'm taken to "C:\Users\username\Documents" instead of "D:\Documents"

What is the syntax for accessing the actual location of Documents in this scenario (I'm writing a guide)?

I have my Documents folder on the D: partition with a slightly different name [~Documents], added the tilde to it so as to show the difference from the default. I right-click the folder and choose Send to, Desktop (create shortcut). Right-clicking that new icon gives me the Pin to Taskbar choice [among others]. I did the same for Downloads as D: has more space then I set my Browsers' Options/Preferences to show that D:\~Downloads to be the default save to location.

What if for example, I want to make a guide, and I want to direct someone to a location in My Documents and I want to ensure my directions will work for those that have moved My Documents?

I use the official Microsoft method of moving Documents (via its properties UI)
