After July will the upgrade nagging go away?

I've removed and hidden the update that puts the icon on the task bar but it sneaks in sometimes. After July will the nagging for an upgrade go away?

    Not likely.

Are you referring to the upgrade notification and you are running a version previous to Windows 10? There are plenty of free apps to disable that permanently.

I haven't tried any. Its not a problem for me. I was wondering about folks who are ignoring the whole thing then decide to do the upgrade after July. Are they going to decide to upgrade and then find their system is locked out after 30 days if they don't pay a fee. That seems a bit drastic even for M$.

If I had to guess, I would say that if the icon is still present after the end of July, the user would be greeted with a message about the offer expiring if the user tried upgrading.
