Migrating OS from RAID 0 to a single SSD

Trying to replicate this with a laptop. I need to go from two SSDs in RAID 0 to a single SSD with as little data loss as possible. I purchased the compatible SSD and an external enclosure. I also created the Windows Rescue Media disk (USB stick) just incase using Macrium. So the first step is going to be to use Macrium to create an IMAGE (not a clone) on the externally connected SSD? Will I then change the BIOS to AHCI before disconnecting the old RAID 0 drives?

I've done exactly this. My MSI Titan Gt80 SLI came in RAID 0.

I installed a new SSD, 1TB in size, and copied the entire 512GB RAID into that disk. Then removed the 2 SSDs and installed another SSD. Then copied from the 1st 1TB SSD onto the 2nd 1TB SSD.

Using Macrium Reflect. It's actually very simple.

The other thing you might want to do is move your computer from the RAID mode to the AHCI mode.

Is the transition seamless? All programs and files are preserved? I am now considering doing this to preserve the Windows Product Key and then doing a clean reinstall anyways overtop of it.

Yeah, it was pretty simple. You don't have to use Reflect, I think there are many imaging programs available.
