I use my PC for games, posting on forums, facebook, getting music for my ipod, and lots of other cool things. :)
On my Windows PC , e-mail, Internet/forum access mostly. Lately I've been doing a lot of Remote Desktop into my Raspberry Pi, to play around with some Python code on my Sense Hat. Some occasional gaming. Playing music and videos.
If you consider a Raspberry PI as PC, I do. I have one dedicated to OPENELEC/KODI as a Media Center for music and videos. Another one is setup to breadboard sensors and other electronics. And a third with an Astro Pi sense hat setup as a weather clock. The Astro Pi setup is totally headless with no keyboard, mouse or monitor.
Testing/trying out as many OSs as I can, seeing how the differ in the inner workings, desktops, usability and such. Since being an insider though, I've been slacking a bit though.
But... basically for a non-geek user, they are the all the same, just different desktop variations(some not so very different, like the UNIX and GNU/Linux systems for example)
So here's what I use it for:
- Recording Voice Demos
- Transferring and Editing Audio (mostly LP tracks)
- Downloading Music and Videos
- Reading Forums (Windows Stuff and Radio Related)
