I am curious about change and used to buy a new PC every time a new system came out. I heard to many negative comments about W8 so didn't buy it for my main computer. I will install W 10 on my laptop that has 8.1 to satisfy my curiosity. Don't know if I will leave it on it, will have to see if I like it better than 8.1.

LF, you have to understand what a 'normal user' looks like. Here is a picture of some of our members who helped set-up the last party - which is more important to many members than their computer, LOL.

Oh wow, that's a reality check. I keep visualizing everyone on these forums around... 30 or so? They all look like they could be my aunts and uncles.

Why don't you first try it in virtual. Here is how.

I found this one on Seven Forums. There are a fair number of us flatulent geriatrics there.

Oh, wait! I just found this one here! It seems to be a more "mature" bunch here.

It is just easier for me to reformat then do the imaging. I always order the disks as soon as I set my PC up.

Who ever mention living in a cabin in the woods, me to. My dream home would be a cabin in a piney woods in the Ozarks, but I would want to be wired and heated. And a town nearby with a good restaurant. LOL

What can be easy about reinstalls and difficult about images. A reinstall may take 2 days of hard work and an image restore takes 20 minutes of the machine working. I rest my case.

I agree. It takes me way more than two days to get a new installation working the way I want. A restore takes five, maybe ten minutes tops.

I agree as well for a full system image restore it takes me about 15 to 25 minutes to restore, the same with backing up.
