[QUOTE= It takes about 5 minutes to restore, and I have done many of these, it is not a big deal. It is much more convenient than a clone. I used to do clones. With a clone you have one image to do which makes one reluctant to do it often. With images I am more likely to make a backup because I can have many and it doesn't take long. .[/QUOTE]

I find this not to be the case on how I do things. Reluctant to do a clone?? My clone SW can be easily set up to do it automatically, in the middle of the night if you want, and its in the background. I prefer to watch what is gong on and I don't use the auto feature. I also use Macrium for images, but store no more than 2-3, have no need for more. Stand alone drive for the clone, yes, what I prefer. I have received several clunker computers from neighbors etc, when they either upgrade or give up on their machine. I trash mostly everything except the sata HD's. Test the crap out of them, and use them for backup. Low$ solution.

p.s. Dont know why my reply with quote is messing up.

Because there is an = in lieu of a ] behind the first "Quote"

    If corrected, you get this:

I am not reluctant to do clones - I have done them in the past. My preference is to have multiple backups I can make before significant changes. I have had to go back a couple in the past. With a clone you just have the last one you made. If I have images I see no need to have clones in addition. To each there own though.

If your TenForums profile is mature enough, you can edit your post# 311 and fix it, if you want
