Chrome & Defender can not be opend after update

I updated my win 7 to 10 when it released & it was working fine until the latest big update of win 10 ,
I installed the update now I can't open chrome & windows defender .

Defender is responding as "This app has been turned off & isn't monitoring your computer" When I try to turn it on .. it's turning off again ..

& chrome isn't even open .. when I try to open it , nothing happens not even a error msg .

does anyone know a solution ?

lots of bugs in the new 10586 version of Windows 10. I had tons of issues and ended up reverting back to the original 10240.

you may have to do the same as well.

    Click start

    Click Settings

    Click update and security

    Click recover

Click on Go back to previous build.

before you do that. open a command prompt as administrator. type sfc -scannow This will check for Windows integrity errors.

Some also recommend the Dism command, which I tried and it didn't help. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Since there are numerous bugs, I would revert, and wait for the next Windows 10 Build, if Windows Defender and chrome worked on your previous build

Yep it worked after reverted in to the previous build .. thanks :)
& i defer updates until they fix some bugs .. there are too many bugs .. it's a little bit surprise for me because i haven't got any bugs when i updated from 7 to 10 .. i'm wondering why so many bugs in the next build .. it must me less bugs ..
