    That's what I've done for my portable apps. This let's me handle the files within that folder the way I'd like to but keeps the built in security measures untouched.

    I'm still being utterly annoyed by these popups for ridiculous actions..

    Hi,

    It seems to me your account's security settings are totally messed up.
    Was this disk cloned ?

    Either way, here is what you can do to reset it to a standard admin account:

    Download and install the following resource kit tool: subinacl.msi from MS.

    Copy the following command lines into a text file and change the .txt extension to .bat.

    @echo off
    title Resetting ACLs...
    cd /d "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
    echo.
    echo Resetting ACLs...
    echo (this may take several minutes to complete)
    echo.
    echo ==========================================================================
    echo.
    echo System Drive...
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    echo.
    echo.
    echo Windows Directory...
    subinacl /subdirectories %windir%\*.* /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    echo.
    echo.
    echo ==========================================================================
    echo.
    echo FINISHED.
    echo.
    echo Press any key to exit . . .
    pause >NUL

    Save, right click and opt for "Run as Administrator".

    When it has finished reboot and that's the end of that. Hopefully.

    Cheers,
