There was a supposed fix for this in this month's update on the 9th. I haven't had it happen since then but I don't use W10 most of the time.

Since I can't use my PC while I sleep, I see no point to keep it ON 24/7 unless you are one that runs a auto backup every night as some companies do just that or run a MS Defender scan which can easily take all night. Thank goodness I got Webroot to install so I don't need to do that! :)

I understand: But it is recomended to fully test this preview as I am doing.to pick up Glitches and bugs like this one. also most of the auto updates are performed overnight.
In real life there may a lot of reasons to leave a system switched on overnight especially if your on a network.
As I said I see your point. But theidea of beta or preview testing IS TO TRY AND BREAK it Iron out bugs ready for RTM distribution.

The Idea of beta or preview testing any program is to try and break it to iron out all the Bugs and glitches ready for RTM prodution. Most of the auto updates are performed overnight and MS did recomened we all do this.

MS recommended leaving your PC ON all night or just auto update? They've always recommended auto update.

I wouldn't call myself a power or heavy PC user but the problems I've seen so far are only apps that don't install or don't work. They may try to help but in the end they just bow out stating that W10 is a beta that isn't supported yet.

How would you perform a major upgrade or update in an office network environment: would you want to go around switching on every users machine?. NO you tell them to leave there machines on that day and upgrade them all from the server overnight .this is just one for instance as to why: it is not just Apps at all that bugs have been reported on. What about the HDD, Keyboard problems etc.

Hey, you can leave your PC ON while you go on a two week vacation if you want to but some people leave them them ON for no good reason like in a Android forum where one user stated that they never shut their tab OFF because they could. I don't know about every issue that's been posted in this this forum or anyplace else because I just don't read every thread in every section. In fact, there have been features, options, etc. mentioned that I never knew about!

My brother-in-law worked a Chrysler in the design department where they had signs, "Do not turn off PC's" because they backup every night. Leaving PC's ON all the time seems to be a touchy subject for many so I'll "try" not question that anymore in the future.

    It's Never Worked For Me

I've used at least 4 different motherboards from 3 different manufacturers and I've never been able to wake my PC using a USB keyboard/mouse running any version of Windows (or Linux Mint).
No combination of BIOS or OS settings seems to have any effect.

I can only wake my PC if I use a PS/2 device (or the Power switch).

In fact, I can't recall seeing USB wake up work on any PC (my TAFE has 100s of PCs).
