I'm finally back on 8.1 after installing about 200 updates! Now to visit ninite and grab my software!
Good choice! I have both W7 and W8.1 on separate SSDs, but run W8.1 for every day usage.

I don't know guys. So far it reminds me of Windows 7.

Don't get me wrong- I really like 10.:)

10 is fine but I do not like that start. I changed it to the 8.1 style start. There at least I can read things - especially in All Apps.

IMO, W10 TP b9841 was so good, if MS had stripped out the useless phone/tablet stuff, they could have started selling it to desktop users.
As an added bonus, it probably would have run even faster (without the Metro stuff "gunking it up").

MS could have kept working on a phone/tablet version.

After b9841, I was giving serious consideration to installing W10 Final (i.e. replacing W7).
After the last two "upgrades" my enthusiasm has waned.

So the question is, 7 or 8.1? I've used both but I'm interested in your opinions.
Windows 7 has treated me kindly since it was released. I dual booted 7 and 8 and soon found myself mostly in 8. I gently but respectfully deleted 7 and now dual boot with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (9879).

I prefer my PC to stay computer - not juke box.
I've had computers hooked up to my TV for around 10 years, much better than a smart TV. Jukebox, Game Centre, Movie Theatre, with Windows 8 the experience is even much better, sitting back about 15 feet with a wireless keyboard and mouse and looking at those beautiful big tiles, nothing better.

This is should be good for you I thought you had trouble with your vision.

Yeh right, I have trouble with the vision - unfortunately. But my PC monitor is bigger than any of my TVs. I never watch TV anyhow. The TV is just an heirloom.
