One of those "obliterates" the work you were doing and replaces it with an entire screen of giant icons.
    The other doesn't.

I thought I worded my post correctly. I guess I didn't. It is one of those statements/questions that can be interpreted in different ways.

I'll ask again; what makes the WTP Start Menu inferior to the Windows 7 Start Menu?
The Start8/Windows 7 Start Menu gives access to much more that than Windows10, notwithstanding that the icon size can be made smaller to accommodate more shortcuts.

As commented on in a previous post, it may suit not everyone.

I’ve been waiting for an answer too, Edwin. Not sure if we’ll get a straight one. We haven’t yet.

It may be that since a lot of them didn’t use 8.x that they may be ignorant to the fact that on the right side of the menu they can delete any tile, then pin any “iconosaurus" tile there pretty much like W7 menu links. Actually more. The left side hasn’t been altered much. They did place the account name/menu and the power button up at the top. The apps list is the same old broken list that doesn’t return to the start when closed.

I wonder how many know WinKey/X or right click the lower left corner?

It really doesn’t matter because most will plaster icons on their Taskbar and desktop for not to use the Start Menu anyway as in the past. Then minimize any open windows to the Taskbar to get at the ones on the desktop.

I wonder how many icons are hidden behind the menu and window groze just posted? I see he has "Computer" on the desktop. That's redundant since there's one on the menu.

It's kinda like pornography. I may not be able to describe it, but I know it when I see it...

    You've got a point there! :)
I sent 'Feedback' that the Start List should be scrollable. The only way to view recently pinned items is to remove previously pinned items!

just kidding. For awhile there, I was using disk management, reflect, and partition wizard for awhile since I was testing out windows 10. I am too scared to test out any more versions because I read issues that it might brick your hard drive. On my computer icon, I like using two mouse clicks instead of 3. I actual prefer one, that why my task bar is loaded.

Here is my icons as requested by HippsieGypsie. My elderly mother likes the wallpaper. So, I keep it on.

I see you beat me to it, Edwin. Actually if all those were the smallest sizes tiles it would be about the same size as right side of the 7 Start Menu. One would have even more shortcuts.

Right, I just wanted to show identical entries on the right side of both! :)
However, with small tiles, it some times wants to create 4 columns before it starts a new row.

(Yeah, there could be a few refinements!)
