That is unfortunate. I can report that the disabling auto-hide taskbar fix is still working for me. Each and every login has been under one second since I did that. I know that may not help you, but figured I'd report my results.

Yeah, I was also as happy as a pig in sh|t until I updated to build 10586.17
I checked my build and it's also 10586.17. I hope Microsoft fixes whatever is the root cause that is ailing anyone regarding this particular issue. Hope you solve it and I hope it doesn't come back in a future build for me.
Hi there.
I got the same problem. Disabling auto-hide is fixing the issue until I enable it again.
I noticed this problem is also gone when I uninstall my AV solution Kaspersky.
Using other AV like Norton and keep auto-hide enabled results in fast login screen.
Anyone notices similiar? Try to deactivate your AV solution (and disable its autostart feature) and keep taskbar hiding enabled.
Does your login screen run through?
Thanks and sry for english mistakes ;D

Like I said, mine at the moment with latest build is random with or without auto-hide enabled ....
so having auto-hide enabled gives me the same result as having it off ... it's completely random ... meaning it's sometimes even FAST with auto-hide on
I'm on ESET .. will look into the AV thing when time allows
If I remember right, I got the login delay also with ESET.
I think Bitdefener and Norton (or no antivir for testing) were fine.
I'm using ESET and I've got the problem but my wife is also using ESET and she has no problem. I've tried Bitdefender and Panda. With both of them I've got the problem.
It seems that for some configurations, the slow boot problem occurs from build 10586. Reverting to 10240 - no problem.

Just updated to 10586.29 (kb3116900) the new tuesday patch. Didn't fix the problem.
