    Windows Desktop Won't Properly Size

I can't get the desktop to properly size up on my screen. You can notice in the screenshot (in the lower right corner) that part of the taskbar is cut off. I have tried making adjustments via the NVIDIA control panel to no avail. Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this issue.

I'm using a 50" Plasma HDTV and it is hooked up to my PC via HDMI. My previous HDTV was a 42" LCD and I never had a problem with desktop size and position.
    Thanks in advance!

Try a different resolution? Right click on the Desktop and select Display Settings then Advanced display settings.

Thank you for the suggestion but I don't desire to go any lower than 1080p.
All of the other resolutions look worse anyhow to be honest.

Cool desktop. There is a small button on the taskbar to the extreme right. I think that is what you see. Try this, bring up a browser on the desktop and then click on the extreme right of the taskbar. The browser window should minimize. On my 23" display the left edge of the button is a small bright line .5 mm from the edge. If I click to the right of the line, I can minimize the display of all running programs, leaving only the desktop.

That worked as you described. That small bright line was further than .5 mm from the edge in Windows 8 and I guess I got used to that. I thought that it was cut off from the screen as a result of my desktop being sized wrong.

To be honest I think it's too small. I'm going to be getting a 65" HDTV for my PC gaming in a couple of weeks. I sit about 6' away from the TV and I play a lot of MMO's which have small text in terms of their UI. It's challenging to throughly read the text on the 50" TV.

    My set up...

You should post this over in the PC custom builds and overclocking forum. They have some cool rigs here. Show off your PC! .

Nice find man! Thanks for sharing. I still have some work to do in my mini man cave though so I will post some pics after I've gotten the new 65" HDTV, added some wall art, and swapped out those bifold doors with sliding mirror doors. The rooms gonna look epic when I'm finally done. Should be within a few weeks or so.
    Thanks again for the advice!
