Suggestions :
Assuming RIGHT click at the Start button still works.......
1.Right click at Start button > click Command Prompt (Admin) > type powershell > press Enter key.
At the flashing prompt, copy and paste this command line ( to avoid typo it's best to apply Copy/paste method)......
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
> press Enter.
When it is done, check if you can open Start Menu.
2. Create another user account with exactly the same privileges as the one you are using now > logon to it and see if you have the same problem.
Not being paranoid but is this a tried and tested workaround to a known bug issue?
It's just I'm new to this forum and I am not confident I want to put a script like this in. Can you tell me the source of this information?
I made a new user account with administration privileges and applied the new Windows updates and things seem to be working. So far...
