    Build 10586: Icons flickering

After upgrading to this build, all of the icons and notification center flicker every few seconds. When I click on the Start button, the start menu will open after a while. I've reported this to MS, has anyone else seen this issue?

I don't but 10586 boots very slow. Google Chrome also open slowly. For the rest, it's stable and there is many interesting new things. The design looks better, right click on Task Bar and Start Menu gives a clearer result: Black and white (A+).

    10586 Pro Clean Install

The best installer Iv'e seen so far. The best design and simply the best result ever. A+ all the way for those who work around new features. Clean install 10586 this morning and got any issue to report. The ISO file is almost 1GB smaller.

    All the best,

You could try the driver version 353.30 from here:http://www.nvidia.com/download/drive...ts.aspx/86510/

I had to reconfigure my video and audio device drivers.

saw it just this morning myself. a restart resolved it(temporarily?) but it may well come back the next time I boot the computer for all I know.

Hi, if the flickering/flashing occurs when you have (for example) a jpg file on your desktop or shown in an explorer window, delete this registry entry:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.jpg\UserChoice]
    and restart.

Also noted the flashing was triggered when a settings screen was open.

I was unable to change the default for .jpg

Just solved that thanks to this reference:
