3rd report came up and when I ran the restorehealth command it finished with message "The source files could not be found"

QUOTE=billy268;450603]You are quite right. My mistake of forgetting what you said in your initial post.
    My apology.

    OK please try this...........................
Right click at Start button > click Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this.......
    sfc /scannow

    > press Enter.
    It will take quite sometime.
When finished, it will give you one of the 3 reports...............(paraphrasing)
    1. No integrity violation.
    2. Found corrupt files and repair successful.
    3. Found corrupt files but unable to repair.

If the report is #1, your solution lies elsewhere.
If the report is #2, check if your problems have been resolved.
If the report is #3, use this method................
In the same Command Prompt (Admin) windows, copy and paste this command...........

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    > press Enter.
Again it will take some time.
When finished, it will give you a report.

Excuse me being such a novice with Win10, but I greatly appreciate your time and effort to enlighten me to solve the problem.

Ok. I will have to give you something that will take quite some time.
Go back to the Command Prompt (Admin) window where it says source file cannot be found.
    1) At the flashing prompt, copy/paste this:
    Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
    > Enter.
2.) If the result says it is successful, then at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this:
    sfc /scannow
    > Enter
If it says No integrity violation, you are done.
Now do you get your Start Menu back ?

    I apologize.
The last suggestion I have for you is to do an in-place install also known as repair install.

Use the link below to download the Media Creation Tool. Make sure you pick the correct bit-version.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/softw...load/windows10

    After downloaded, run the tool.
Select the option Create installation media for another PC.
That will begin downloading the ISO file to your computer. Make sure you know which location (folder) the iso is going to.
Once the ISO is downloaded, right click at the ISO file > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
    Installation will begin.
You have the choice of keeping your files, settings and apps, or keep nothing.
    Activation is automatic.
