Well Dell shipped me a thumbdrive with their Windows 8.1 32-bit image on it. I reflashed it to my tablet and the difference from Win 10 32 bit to Win 8.1 32 bit is night and day on 1 GB of RAM. It works soooo much faster with Win 8.1. I love Win 10 on my 4 GB tablet, 8 GB laptop, and 16 GB desktop at home, but on this tablet it is borderline unusable with 10. I hope this helps anybody else considering upgrading a tablet device from Win 8.1 to Win 10 - either don't or do it, but keep the recovery partition so you can go back when you find it is too slow to deal with.

Probably better than XP x86 which almost drove me to Linux Ubuntu ☻
Back to the OP, IMO there is no reason his tard pad should be any slower on win 10 than win 8.1 at 1Gb vs
1Gb outside of driver or configuration issues.

I thought the same thing you are saying, but when I reinstalled Win 10 from scratch and am comparing to how it is now with Win 8.1 the difference is beyond noticeable in performance. I'm sticking with 8.1 for sheer performance.

Strange how that model doesn't like 10, sounds like a driver issue

Performance for me is almost identical between 8.1 & 10 on a 1GB tablet

Which tablet do you have? I'm curious what the hardware difference might be.

I have the Venue 8 Pro 2GB Ram and 32GB drive
I prefer 10 over 8.1 on the tablet..
But have not yet switched over to 10 on other PC's..

It is a choice we all make..
    some like it, some don't..

Interesting enough, your tablet is the same processor, RAM, and storage as mine, except your Atom is clocked at 1.83ghz where my Atom Z3735G is clocked at 1.33ghz.

And now we probably know why yours doesn't work well with Windows 10 and Paul's does. for your user experience!
