Missing sleep option in the power menu in Win10

I installed Win10 yesterday on my desktop, but sleep is not an option on power menu. Have tried all options that I find in various forums including driver updates and system settings, but can not get a sleep mode for the power menu. Maybe Win 10 thinks my desktop is a laptop as I only have hibernate for an option. I have tried using hibernate, but my PC "wakes" anyway and uses too much power with fans. Only power saving solution now is to shut down completely each time I walk away. I have not found the solution in forums for adding back sleep to the menu.
    Thanks for the help

    Welcome to TenForums, CE151!

Are you only looking in the Win10 Settings menu or have you checked in the old style Control Panel (Winkey-X or right click Start flag and select Control Panel)?

I am looking in old style Control Panel, only shut down and hibernate are offered in Power Options with "change settings that are currently unavailable". No option for adding Sleep

Reinstalled a video driver from Dell, restarted PC and Sleep is now an option.
Later, the PC does not stay in Sleep mode. I noticed the same in Hibernate, did not stay in that mode either.
Now on to more research about slow bootup and how to keep PC in sleep mode until I decide to open. Very frustrating!!
