Didn't it come down as a zip file, if you saved it should have, then right click the zip first and unblock, then extract after:

After downloading just click the "x" and close the downloader

Then open file explorer and go to downloads.

I already checked with Malwarebytes for malware and it's clean!

    Just follow the steps.

Using windows 10 on a Surface 3. I've tried to download several programs from the internet using chrome and the explorer that comes with windows 10.
It will show were it downloads and says it is complete, but it will not open and run the program. It just disappears . I have went to downloads and tried to run it as administrator. Then it will pop up with a error code, Windows can not find the download make sure you typed the name correctly.
I'm not sure when this started, but when I first switched over I had to download iTunes 2 times which went through. Now nothing.

    Help
Sometimes, when you download with certain browsers, it will change the "exe" to a different extension. For instance, I just downloaded an EXE with IE, and it renamed "filename_exe" and I had to rename it before I could run it. I;ve seen Chrome do it too, sometimes it does not remove the ",partial" from the end of the file after completing download.

Also if you download a restore file for a device, when I use IE to download Apple IPSW files, which are used to restore devices, it changes them to "Zip" so make sure the extension is correct on the downloaded file. It did the same thing with an Android PDA file.
