No. Also the "General" tab has "Archive" ticked and I don't even have that box (and nor do you).
    EDIT, Yes, now I have.

Question for OP - where is D:\Downloads? Is it on a USB? What is the format - NTFS/FAT32 etc?

If I download to a FAT32 formatted USB I get the same. Try downloading to your C (or another ntfs formatted) drive...

See here - H is a USB key formatted FAT32. D is a partition on my SSD formatted NTFS.

if you choose save as, on the download popup at the bottom of the browser click on save as , it will give option to put it where ever you like .

Ok so i tried a quick mp3 via explorer. Downloaded save as C-user-download and it worked.

So what does this mean how can i get it to recognize disk D, or get new download via Chrome to save to C-user-downloads.

I don't use chrome ,but there must a place in settings to choose download location, like in internet explorer . open tools and view downloads ,and then click options and direct it to the D:\ drive

    Quick update
I have 0 idea why this works but, I went into chrome changed download location from D drive to C drive.
After its downloaded I then can move it to the D drive. Why it will not work directly to the micro SD card I don't know.

If you had space to back up your SD card you could try formatting it NTFS and then copy everything back - perhaps it just doesn't like exFAT.
