    Issues with Context Menu

    I've recently started experiencing an issue with my context menu. It hasn't gone away completely in file explorer, but numerous options have disappeared from it including copy and paste, so I haven't been able to copy files all morning. In addition to that I can't even get it to appear at all on the desktop when I right-click.

    Any ideas?

    There are 3 types of context menus: Background, Folder, File and certain options will be available depend on where you right click on. If you right click on a folder(s) or file(s) then you'll get the copy option but not on desktop or file explorer background. Once the copy on folder(s)/File(s) is clicked then right click on any background will have paste option available.

    If you upgraded to 10 from 7/8. Chances some third party shell extensions might be incompatible with Windows 10 and cause the problem or you have some corrupted system files that need to be repaired

    An alternative is to use the keyboard:
    copy -> ctrl+c
    paste -> ctrl + v
    Cut -> crtl + x
