ISO on USB is not a good idea, because it's too slow!
    Don't run an Update.
Just mount the ISO from (D:) and start the setup.exe. The process checks the PC first and let you know if s.th. is wrong.

    Unplug the LAN-Cable

you made the folder on R then pointed reagentc at the non existant folder on S

I think that was a mistype by @Megahertz
    Yes, my mistake, sorry.

    Under Win 10
    - Download the USB Win 11 23h2 iso file using MCT
    - Disconnect from the internet.
    - Right click on the iso file and select mount.
    - On the virtual drive created run setup.exe. It will begin to upgrade to Win 11.

Thanks Megahertz, really appreciate your help.

I'm running Win 10 Home. The bits in disk part worked fine, but last two instructions didn't - first got no response and second an error? Happy to wait for next instructions whenever you're able!

In fact the command md R:\Recovery\WindowsRE has created the directory (folder) under R

Only a lack of understanding allows this interpretation:

@Pentagon, why are you creating / loading the WinRE if the partition needs to be enlarged?
S.. happens when the hands goes faster than the brains.
I like to do things step by step.

Well we successfully have a Win11 install - thanks Megahertz and Pentagon for your help!

Windows update is behaving a bit oddly, in that it still thinks I should be installing the old Win RE update for Win10(!) but I guess I'll just ignore this and maybe it'll go away :)

Could you please post a Disk manger image of all drives?
