Is the EOL popup real?

I've seen posts about this screen on Reddit and the media (see attachment) and I want to know if it is a real popup.
I never got this. My computer updates once a month (patch Tuesday) and I've yet to get Copilot so I wonder if it'll be the same case here.
Just something I wanted to ask.
Also I heard there's a close button on it on the top right corner of the screen so if this screen is indeed real, does it go away completely or will it pop up again after some time?

The only source this article has is that one reddit post. There are barely any posts on the Windows 10 subreddit about it and I couldn't find any other sources.

There's tons of articles. They got pushed to the back burner, by all the Win 11 24H2 and Windows 12 rumors.

Yep, saw that announcement from Microsoft itself some months ago, not long after Win11 was released, Oct. '21.

If anyone gets the popup let me know if the close button does the same thing as the "remind me later" button. I won't be able to test this out myself because the next patch Tuesday is in May (I don't check for updates, I just let it do it by itself and tbh I'm not sure when I'll get the popup since, again, I didn't even get Copilot yet)

It's possible you won't get it if you use this:
How to Specify Target Feature Update Version in Windows 10
as has been widely posted for 2 or 3 years I guess- to specify 22H2 (last build of Win 10).

So-called 'incompatible' PCs can be upgraded to Win 11 (methods are documented) - however the same technique is then required for each major build (feature update). Further, MS has warned that at some point they it may no longer deliver updates to 'incompatible' PCs.

Whilst the content of the popup might be true, I still wouldn't be trusting the veracity of the source/origin of the popup. Least of all, I would NOT be clicking on any component in the popup.

Do your own research separately about any references or claims made in the popup.

I saw the same popup long ago when I was offered an upgrade to Windows 11. But unfortunate my system didn't meet the minimum hardware requirements for the upgrade. My CPU failed because it was a seventh generation Intel processor.

MS has warned that at some point they it my no longer deliver updates to 'incompatible' PCs.

That's me and I think Microsoft must have been taken over by a bunch of air-headed geeks who have more money than feelings.
What about the millions who can't afford a new computer? Is Microsoft compensating us, nah. I'm glad I quit the MVP group
