When installed Windows 10, motherboard temp went up to 118C

Used Speccy as well as HWMonitor gave me the same temps. Not sure why I'm getting this temp but my PC seems to be normal and running but I'm just wondering why it's doing that, It was normal on Windows 8.1 when I installed Windows 10 it started doing this.

Software monitors will often detect the wrong temps. I would probably ignore it. The thing wouldn't work at those kind of temps. It is pretty routine to see those sort of erroneous temperature readings from the motherboard sensor.

But if you want to check then you can touch your heatsink near the sensor and if your skin does not fuse to your mobo, everything is good. If however, you find your fingers are now permanently fused to your motherboard, then I offer you my humblest apologies for having made the suggestion in the first place

Should also mention that is a new Win10 build for speccy available. Maybe the 8.1 build is the reason for the error on your system if it was detecting properly before.

Yeah, I already have the windows 10 update for speccy, still doing that. Tried using HWMonitor as well, still says 118C.
