Save last position and size of a app window?

To clarify: ( Software installed to Windows 10. Not so much a problem with Windows File explorer.)

Whenever I close a Application window then open it again it's position is reset.
I typically have a habit of having notes open in web forums using a few different apps.
And I need a application's window opened in the same place I closed it.

This is a productivity request. Thanks.

I find the position is usually respected by various programs.

    For example- open Wordpad.
Now change the position and size of its window.
    Close it, then reopen it.
Is it the same or different?

To which program or progams in particular do you refer?

If you continue to have problems, some suggest this:
    Download ShellFolderFix - MajorGeeks

    Another- not free:
DeskSoft - WindowManager - Window position and size manager

Like for example Ditto: Ditto clipboard manager

I set the short key to Tilde key. I'd like to appear off to the right side of the monitor.
Its drag bar is on the right side of its window not the top. Just thought I'd mention that in passing.

If it's only one program but windows generally behave ok - well, maybe you'll have to live with it.

    Or find an alternative.

Its just the number of times I call it up gets irritating after a while of use.
I will keep searching for new software like you suggested.

I just downloaded it to check it out.

    Try this:
Right click on the icon in the TaskBar -> Options, or
when the program is open, press the 3 Dots -> Options

    Popup Position: At Previous Position.
