Strange problem. Have 2 TV's with 2 different DVD players. Just got the DVD Movie MULAN 2020. Neither DVD player will play it. Both freeze, stutter, picture breaks up.
Now the strange part. Plugged in a external DVD drive to my laptop. Movie played all the way with no problem. Any idea what the problem might be?
Is it a OEM DVD movie, or a PC burned DVD?
How much older are the DVD players than the laptop you are using?

- It sounds like it could possibly be a format problem where your TV's doNOTsupport the DVD file type.
- Have you checked to see if there are anyFirmwareupdates for the TV ?
- If your TV's doNOTsupport theRegionof the the DVD, there are ways around that by using Google.
- If your TV's are Android, you could use theVLC Media Player App[ see below ].

OEM Movie from Amazon.
Players are about 10 yrs. old. Laptop 2 yrs. External DVD player, about 1 yr. old.

TV is about 15 yrs. old. Old tube type. No way to update software.

F.Y.I. Black Adam DVD played on TV set-up, no problem.
It may not be the reigon of the DVD, but the actual format the DVD was made in such as single or dual layer.

Convert the DVD to a video file format that the TV recognisers - .mp4/.mkv / or being that old, may have to be .avi
Video file converters - MakeMKV, Handbrake (if avi has to be, need to download an earlier version of Handbrake)
You need to check the firmware of your Blu-ray players. Go to their manufacture website and read about how to do it. Since they are 10 years old you probably have to use a blank USB drive to write new firmware to the Blu-ray players. Read the manufacture's instructions carefully!
What's happening is that the Blu-ray you bought is using a scheme your players can't use or are incapable of doing.
