    Can't recover from sleep mode

    I have a Dell Inspiron N7110 running Windows 10.0.19044.2130

After power-loss and a sudden power-off of the laptop, I haven't been able to come back from Sleep mode.
The power light turns on and the fans whir up, but the screen stays black, not even lit.

I've tried resetting hiberfil.sys using powercfg commands.
    Anything else?

Some people reported, during Windows 7 days, that booting from an InstallUSB / Repair disk / anything else then rebooting normally would stop their black screen problem.
I never understood why it worked but several people said it did.

I don't know why you fiddled with hiberfil.sys. It is not involved in S3 Sleep.
I don't know how you managed to do anything without a display.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

Win 10 has a boot that is by default a mix of a cold boot and an hibernation.
As a Restart is pure cold boot, I suggest you do a restart to clean any previous stored issues on the hibernation.

Well it boots up normally after a force-shutdown by holding down the power button.

    I suggest these tests:-

1 Find out if the problem also happens in Safe mode
Boot into Safe Mode - TenForumsTutorials

2 Find out if the problem also affects another user account [even if you have to create one to do the test].

3 If the answers are 1 No, 2 Yes then get another copy of your display driver from the computer / display card maker & install it [even if it is the same version as the one in use now].

4 Find out if SFC fixes the problem.
    SFC - TenForumsTutorials

5 Find out if a Repair install fixes the problem.
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - TenForumsTutorials
Despite its name, this is a repair procedure not an installation so your applications & your own files should be safe. I always make a new system image & backup my own files first.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

Did you try a restart as I suggested?

Yeah it seems to have sorted itself out.
I feel like I already restarted, so not sure if that was it, but I didn't do anything else.
It's just an old old laptop, and I've done a lot of surgery on it.
It's a miracle it boots up at all nowadays. And I use it a media-server too lol. Just a lil stress test. breaking it in.
