To update to Win 11, not only the hardware needs to be on the eligible list but also some details like be a UEFI-GPT install, secure boot on, TPM 2.0 etc.
That's not the issue.
This issue is that I've had this HP notebook since November 2019, and the only message I've seen about Win 11 has been that the computer meets the requirements Win 11.
Then, today I get the message that this computer doesn't meet the requirements of Win 11. What's up with that?
I'm not planning to upgrade to Win 11 on this HP notebook, but I'm wondering why the message changed.
Could the secure boot have been turned off?
...or some other settings that have changed?
Search for "MSinfo"-->open it and have a look.
Have you changed anything? Changed any bios settings? Had a bios update? For example, the TPM may have been turned off.
The PC Health Check app mentioned in the message is a fairly blunt tool, a better way to check all aspects of Windows 11 compatibility is WhyNotWin11. If that gives the all clear then the message is in error. If it too fails your PC it will tell you exactly what needs changing to make it compatible with 11.
https://www.whynotwin11.com/Unlike Microsoft's Health Check Tool, This WhyNotWin11 Windows 11 Check Tool gives accurate information and if your PC can't run Windows 11 then this tool will show the reason why your PC can't run Windows 11.
The only change to this system was that I installed a USB Wifi adapter. I did that because I wanted to improve signal reception when the signal from the access point is weak. The new device has better antennas. I can now select between WiFi and WiFi 2. I've turned off WiFi 2 to see if that would clear the message, but it doesn't. I haven't completely removed it yet to test, but I don't think that's the problem, because I didn't get the message after I initially installed the new WiFi device.

No changes or significant updates other than the USB WiFi adapter that's currently turned off.
