VHD is the only way to Dual Boot. Works best uses real drivers. Same as bare metal install.

    In a VM, for now.
I'm not as blown away by Win10 as I was for Win7. So, when Win10 will be released, I won't rush in order to get a licence.

    Offensive Option

Offensively prejudicial option in the poll ("I hate progress....I won't use it.").
That is a throwback to the desperate "W8 Fan Boys" mantra.

I notice that the poll doesn't have a "You call this progress?...I won't use it." option.

I notice that MS is still trying to trick people into signing up for an Hotmail/Live account (or whatever it is called these days).
Just like the dodgy crapware installers that seem to be everywhere these days.

IMO, it seems to be an improvement over the W8 series.

    Agreed.
    However, I wasn't horrified like I was with W8.

    My first impression after installation: W7 > W10TP > XP > W98SE > W8/Vista.

    It's not cool ...

The point is how many ordinary users are going to find it?

It is the same tactic that crapware/malware installers use.
IMO, it's not cool for a Megacorp (like MS) to use it.

I knew there should have been option hidden somewhere, but I couldn't find it (it was hidden on a separate screen).

I got around it like this:

I noticed that W10TP checked my network and then it asked for my MS Account.

I used the "Back" button (which took me back to the Options screen) and then I disconnected the network.
When I confirmed my Options, I was taken to the Local Account setup screen. :)

To avoid the MS Account screen, disconnect your network during the installation.

I did a clean install on my SSD. I am using the start menu now, but will soon switch to the start screen like I had on 8.1. At first it was hard without the start button, but now I find the start screen better.

The only con so far is some apps I like to use, I.E. CPU-Z, and Speccy do not work. I wanted to try some benchmarks but will have to wait until it develops more. I'm sure they will work soon.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is with having to have a Microsoft account. Apple does the same thing with insisting you have an Apple ID to used any of their hardware or software. I might be prejudiced because I already had an account that I use for Skype, Office 365, OneDrive, email, etc., but I don't find it as annoying as using, say, my iPhone for the first time. I couldn't even use it at all until I downloaded and installed iTunes, setup an Apple ID, put in a credit card number, setup an iCloud account, etc., etc. Took over 2 hours just to turn the damn thing on. When my best friend setup a Microsoft Account to use with Windows 8.1, she put in an email address and a password, and she was done. Didn't even have to be a Hotmail/Outlook email address. She just used her gmail one. Altogether much, much simpler.

Don't be so sensitive mate...its a long weekend. Relax.

The poll was originally published in the Chillout Room as a light-hearted jibe.

Maybe I should I re-publish it with my original intention for the 4th option : "Im a Luddite - I prefer to stay with the new Windows XP"
