Do you have a HDD (spinner) drive or an SSD?
It sounds like the drive is failing or has failed.
As stated, boot off of a Windows 10 Installer USB drive, if you don't have one, you can download the ISO image and burn it to a Flash drive with the Media Creation Tool on an internet computer. Once you boot to the Flash Drive, choose your Language, then Repair Your Computer. This will load the Troubleshooting menu. Here choose Advanced and try the Startup Repair, if that fails, you can try System Restore if that fails, you can load the Previous Version of Windows 10, If that fails you have the Command Prompt. or You can also boot off the installer and do a Clean Install Of Windows. But at this stage, I would assume the drive has failed and replaced it with a new drive and install Windows.

    1. Checking your disk
    You can try:

    a. using another PC, download an iso file for a suitable live boot disk and create that on a flash drive, boot your PC from that and run e.g. Crystal Diskinfo (often found on live boot disks) - else there's a portable version.

    or
    b. remove the drive, connect it to another PC and thus test it.

    or

As for automatic repair, another thing you can try is to create a Macrium Reflect boot disk on another PC (free); boot this PC from that and run the Fix boot utility on that.

    Not carefully any error report.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, this is way over my head and it has created a period of frustration.
I have backups for Macrium and would like to use the latest to get me out of this problem. I ran a copy of the Macrium Rescue Media Builder and it booted up on my CD-Drive. Is there a way for me to make contact with my Backup drive, from here, and fix my problem with just doing a backup?
If this is possible, could explain how I can do this? I am lost and need direct steps to make this happen.
    Here is a picture of the layout of the Rescue Media as an attachment.( No longer remember how to do an attachments}
Hoping you are familiar with the Rescue Media layout.

If possible, what do I do to get my 11/2 backup on to my desktop?

If your Disk is failing, restoring your backup won't fix it. Software cannot fix failed hardware. Follow the instructions for checking your disk in Post #4.

You may wish to find a friend to help you. Fixing things can be daunting first time round.

What I suggested is far more appropriate - consider - if your disk is faulty (it may not be) - you'd be wasting your time restoring image backups. So checking it is your first priority.

    If ok:

This is the most straightforward of those steps:

    a. run Macrium Reflect on another PC
    b. insert a blank flash drive

Now plug that disk into your problem PC and boot it from that external disk.

I used the section in the Rescue Media called “Browse for an image or backup file to restore”As luck would have it, it worked!!
This was the option I selected and Macrium came through with another winner.
Thank you all for your suggestion which became complicated for me, so I took what looked to be the easiest and it looks like it worked
