Well, did they actually recieve the 1st board back? I'd be on them like horseflies on poop to send it back. I mean they'd expect several calls a day.

I dealt with them once, they don't stand behimd their product and they get jittery if it even sounds like it's their product. That's why I switched to Asus almost 10 years ago, they've always done me well. MSI was good too, they actually sent me a couple of new "Mboxes" when the ones I bought failed within the warranty period. Those were a line of halfway decent Barebones systems they used to make, they came with InWin cases, I still have the cases, they are not made out of cheap pot-metal, but brushed aluminum.

Sounds pretty infuriating, if they won't comply, I'd try to find an arbitrator.
I called the police and told them that Gigabyte would not ship it. It's my property and they are holding what amounts my property. The person I spoke to said that police officers would accompany me, but she predicts it would quickly turn into a civil case.

I also files claims to the BBB and small claims. Newegg, where I bought the product, is very upset at Gigabyte and has contacted them.

Newegg is there I used to buy my Barebones systems, from about 2001-2005, I bought several MSI M-Box systems. Large case, great MBs, sometimes they came with a stick o ram or two. Used to be Egghead Software, they had a store over in La Mesa, about 5 miles form me. I've been buying from them for a long time. Heh, I remember back in the 90's they were the outlet for those IBM Aptiva systems, which were the first to handle MPEGs, motion JPEG's, they were proud of those. But sometimes around '94, in california, a lot of the EggHead outlets were hit for RAM, they were all broken into and someone made off with many thousands of bucks worth of Ram. It was after that they became Online-Only, it was a big risk for them but it paid off well.

When CompUSA went under, they opened a compatible site, bought several systems from there. One of them was a Gigabyte Barebones system, and it was bad out of the box! I sent that back and ordered something else. I think CompUSA became tigredirect? But then that vanished too, so it's NewEgg which has never failed me.,

Stick with NewEgg, they'll most likely settle this for you. Is there a Gigabyte Outlet near you? Showing up at a place sometimes lets them know you mean business. I'd try to get refunded and buy something better form a better vendor.
